Wolford, Kelli
Artist Statement
I enjoy all the beauty the northwest has to offer and I like bringing the outdoors in with my work.
I love using different mediums on a table to create a one of a kind piece of art. Using slate, tile, marble, stone, plates pottery, and even sometimes metal has been used to bring a piece together.
As the uniqueness the northwest landscapes have to offer each one of us with various scenery landscapes and seasons, the art I like to create is about reflecting that sane element in each design.
About Kelli Wolford
A native Oregonian, I was born and raised in Eugene. When I was 12, I moved to Central Oregon with my family. I am a self-taught artisan who “happened ” into it. My “I can do something with that” side came out about 10 years ago when an oak table top gone bad led me to do “something ” with it or throw it away. That adventurous side has led to developing my creativity as well as some gentle prodding from family and friends.
As an outdoor enthusiast and wildlife lover I enjoy the smell of sagebrush in the high desert after a good rain storm or stopping to look at a field of elk. I like to take a drive and find some new adventure off the beaten path. I always want to see what’s on the other side. As much as I love to travel I am truly blessed by the opportunities that surround us here daily in the Northwest. I currently reside with my family in Redmond Oregon.
