Artist Statement
I began my quilting career by making traditional quilts, first learning the basics but soon experimenting with style and embellishments. My goal is a quilt with impact from a distance, while containing surprises or surface interest when the viewer is up close.

I have always enjoyed color, patterns and textures in fabrics. I became absorbed in the creative process and, invariably, at some point find myself following the quilt. There is a point where the quilt “talks to me” and I follow the path.

I have been part of a quilt/book club for several years. This has been a wonderful creative experience, which has taken me to quilts I would never have imagined.
