About Artists Mitch and Michelle Deaderick

Mitch began throwing pots in Santa Barbara, Cailfornia in the mid 60′s. He has been fascinated with shapes and glazes since he was a young boy. Mitch enjoys working with traditional Chinese glazes such as celedons,Chun Blue, and copper reds. Mitch has taught classes in Santa Barbara, Sisters and Redmond, Oregon. He encourages young potters and works with the Sisters high school Arts program.

Mitch meet Michelle when she was studying Art at C.O.C.C. Michelle has always enjoyed carving designs into pieces giving them more depth and style. Mitch and Michelle together create many one-of-a-kind pieces. They also specialize in day to day functional wares. Pottery by Mitch has come together with inspiration from nature, family, and a loving creative community.
