Artist Statement
My art is created from a deep soul burning image that is vividly inspired in my mind. Upon completion of a project I experience a sense of fulfillment and peacefulness. Each inspiration is approached with thankfulness for the blessing of this artistic gift.

From its conception every project is inspired and designed for a particular person. I pray joyous, rich prayers during its construction. My hope is for the new owner to experience these blessings, melded in during its creation.

I love working with exquisite, high quality ribbons and yarns from all over the world. When I blend materials from different countries together I feel I am bringing the makers of the ribbon and/or yarns into my finished product. Their beauty is extended onward in each scarf and into the lives of others.

My professional background is in business management. For many years my artisty has been expressed in lavish, lush floral landscaping. In 2004 I began creating luxury scarves while recuperating from a illness. By 2005 the delight and pleasure of this craft evolved into a full time business. The original sales outlet for the scarves was open air markets and shows. Upon meeting Teri Applegarth and Don Patheal in 2007 I was instantly impressed by their personal integrity and appreciation of art. When they opened Don Terra Artworks and invited me to be one of their first artists I was thrilled. The atmosphere of the gallery plus their desire to make art available at reasonable prices is a perfect match for Inspirational Designs.
